Some 3500 people attended the event held at the Pablo Neruda Railway Museum in Temuco.

“The mountains: where life and culture are born” was the name of the stand with which our Natural Laboratory, in collaboration with the NODO CTCI Conexión Sur, participated in the great citizen science festival, held in the capital of Araucanía.

Through graphics, audiovisual capsules, 3D models, samples of fish, hydroponic crops, and elements to study glaciers, we explain to the attendees the importance and the rThe mountains as a source of water resources indispensable for life.

Our stand had informative panels through which we explained the relevance of the mountain as a place where life is born.

We also conducted a workshop for children, in which, through a booklet of activities, we sought that the young participants integrate simple and practical concepts related to a watershed, from glaciers to the mouth at the sea.

Several universities, research centers and NGOs participated in the event.

Congratulations to Explora Araucanía for the successful event!
