Between May 23 and 27, the Universidad de Concepción and the Chilean Society of Marine Sciences held the XLI Marine Sciences Congress. Our project was one of those invited to present at the Natural Laboratory Nodes symposium.
Although the meeting was mainly dedicated to the natural laboratories that are operating on the Chilean coast, we had the opportunity to participate in one of the symposia of the meeting. The lecture was given by Carla Marchant, an academic in charge of the project, from the Universidad Austral, “Andes Natural Laboratory of Southern Chile: an opportunity for sustainable development and participatory governance of mountain territories”.
At the same symposium, there was also a presentation on the Nodes for the Development of Scientific Research in Natural Laboratories and the projects of the Central-Northern Ocean Natural Laboratory (Atacama, Coquimbo and Valparaiso) and the Subantarctic Natural Laboratory: CTCi in the southernmost territories of Chile were presented.
